Israel-Gaza War:  The US has presented a new and ambitious peace plan to end the long-standing violence in Gaza. This 21-point proposal outlines a blueprint to make Gaza a safe, terror-free, and prosperous region. The plan includes encouraging Gaza residents to stay there and supporting their resettlement, which is a major shift in US policy. Previously, President Donald Trump had called for resettling Gaza residents elsewhere, but this plan offers a new vision of hope and stability for the local people.

The road to lasting peace in Gaza

The plan calls for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and a phased Israeli withdrawal. In return, Hamas must surrender its weapons and pledge peaceful coexistence. Under the plan, the release of hostages will be ensured within 48 hours, while Israel will release hundreds of Palestinian prisoners. This step is a significant effort toward restoring trust between the two sides.

Redevelopment and economic prosperity

The plan includes a comprehensive economic plan for the redevelopment of Gaza. A special economic zone will be established, tariffs will be lowered, and steps will be taken to attract investment. Humanitarian aid will be delivered to Gaza daily via 600 trucks, managed by neutral organizations such as the United Nations and the Red Crescent. This will ensure that aid reaches those in need without hindrance.

Towards a terror-free Gaza

Hamas will be excluded from Gaza's governance system and its military infrastructure, such as tunnels, will be dismantled. A temporary stabilization force will be deployed to secure the territory and train a Palestinian police service. Additionally, a structured de-radicalization program will be launched, including interfaith initiatives to foster mutual understanding between Israelis and Gazans.

The dream of a Palestinian state

The plan recognizes the establishment of a Palestinian state as an aspiration, but requires the Palestinian Authority to complete a reform process. The United States will facilitate negotiations between the two sides to achieve long-term peaceful coexistence. This approach seeks to not only make Gaza a peaceful region but also offer a new model for regional stability.
